FORTE was created in 1996. At the time, the founder of Formosa Plastics Group, Mr. Wang Yung-Ching, often traveled to cold and dry climates for work and suffered from dry and cracking skin.

Ms. Sandy Wang, the current chairperson of Formosa Biomedical, specially asked her research and development staff to create a moisturizing and repairing gel for her father.

After Mr. Wang Yung-Ching used the gel, his discomfort was greatly alleviated, and even his dry and rough cheeks became smooth and glowing. He appeared to be in better health and looked younger.

He not only had high praise for the gel, he also encouraged the Formosa Plastics Group to enter the beauty and cosmetics industry.

In October 2003, the FORTE brand was officially established and set up the first flagship counter in Taipei Breeze Center.

The herbal gel has also become FORTE’s star product and has been continuously improved since its introduction!
